Event: 6.7K Backyard Format
The Kings Backyard Ultra returns to Barge Showgrounds in Whangārei, starting on 30 May 2026.
Test your limits at this last person standing event and run a 6.71km loop every hour on the hour, until there is only one person left.
The course is along beautifully maintained fields flowing into some sheep farm paddocks at the backend of the course (the highest part of the loop) with some beautiful views over the countryside. The terrain is a mix of field, farm, single trail, gravel road and tar seal roading. The elevation gain is approximately 100m.
Enjoy the vibe over Kings Birthday Weekend at the tent city with music, food and plenty of entertainment.
