The Tussock Traverse is an iconic alpine trail run in Tongariro National Park on 28 March 2026 with 32km, 21km, 12km or 6km distances to choose from.
It offers one of the most scenic and varied courses in New Zealand to both keen trail runners and walkers, as well as people new to the excitement of off-road adventures.
The event is proud to support the ongoing work of charity partner Project Tongariro (Tongariro Natural History Society), and the great work they do conserving the area.
It is organised by Ohakune Events Charitable Trust.
