The Pāuanui Trail Epic on 14 March 2026 is a trail running experience set in the picturesque beach town of Pāuanui on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Choose from 4 distances providing an option for every level of runner - from a flat and fast 5km right up to a demanding 34km. All distances can be run or walked.

Winding its way through every race distance is the fast and flowing Tairua River Trail - a local gem that hugs the banks of the Tairua River, through lush native bush and open flats.

Participants may enter as an individual and as a member of a team. The Teams Challenge is a great team-building exercise and an excellent way to motivate your whānau and friends to achieve a challenge together. Your team can choose to race in any of our four race distances and may all run or walk. A minimum of four participants is required to create a team (there is no maximum). Your team score will be dictated by the aggregate finishing total of your first 4 finishers. Lowest score wins.
