The Ultra Five-0 is a new 50km ultramarathon trail run in the Hunua Ranges on 6 December 2025.

The 50km ultramarathon is on a point-to-point course from Kaiaua to Clevedon. Runners traverse the Hunua Ranges Regional Park with highlights including scenic reservoir views, native bush, forestry and farmlands. Terrain is a combination of gravel roads, single track trails and chip-seal roads.

The ultra distance can be run solo, or in a 2-person relay, with a change over point half way at Mangatawhiri Dam. There is also a 25km solo option taking on the second half of the course from Mangatawhiri Dam to Clevedon.

This event is a joint venture between First Tier Sports Productions and Trail Events NZ.
