The Silverstream Spin in Dunedin on 4 October 2025 is a unique trail running event where your distance is decided by a roll of the dice.

Camp at a beautiful spot over the weekend, with the runs happening on Saturday. Roll a dice, run the corresponding loop, roll the dice again, run again, and repeat. Winner is the first person home after three loops.

There are 6 different loops of technical single track ranging from 6.3km to 26km. There’s a lovely variety of calf burning climbs, glorious native bush, wild subalpine ridges, technical downhills, mud, great views and a few stream crossings.

Winner is the first to complete 3 loops. Consolation spot prize if you throw three sixes! This is a self-supported event.

Running is free. Koha for camping and other expenses.
